Vipul Mehta, founder of Tipping Point, has criticised the government’s air-pollution approach, alleging that changes in measurement standards are being used to downplay the crisis. Referring to the rejection of WHO benchmarks, he said redefining pollution metrics creates an illusion of improvement without cleaner air, warning that altered definitions risk hiding dangers & weakening accountability.
