The 33-year-old crossed the 1,000-run mark in T20 World Cups during his 11-ball 12-run knock against South Africa on Sunday. Kohli took 22 innings to score 1,000 runs in T20 World Cup. The previous record was held by Mahela Jayawardena, who took 31 innings.
