Vivid dreams enhance feeling of deep sleep, not disrupt it: Study

A recent study suggested that vivid and immersive dreams can make sleep feel deeper and restoring instead of disrupting it. It found that minimal or fragmentary experiences, such as vague sense of presence without clear dream content, were associated with shallowest perceived sleep. Dreams may help sustain the feeling of deep sleep even as the biological drive for sleep wanes.
