Vizhinjam elderly woman's house robbed of gold and cash

A 63-year-old woman living alone in Vizhinjam's Mukkola returned home to find her back door broken and belongings scattered. Thieves reportedly stole 4 sovereigns of gold and ₹25,000 kept in a cupboard. Girija had saved the cash to repay a loan. Vizhinjam police and a forensic team collected evidence and are checking CCTV footage.
