Ethiopia's Hayli Gubbi volcano erupted on Sunday for the first time in recorded history, sending a plume of smoke 10-15 km into the air. According to reports, the ash from the volcano's eruption, which has now stopped, drifted across the Red Sea towards Oman and Yemen.
