Volvo names Klaus Zellmer as new CEO

Volvo Car AB has appointed Klaus Zellmer, former Skoda Auto CEO, as its new president and CEO, effective October 1, 2027. He replaces Hakan Samuelsson, who is stepping down. Zellmer brings 30+ years of automotive experience. Volvo is also undergoing a major restructuring, planning 13 new vehicle launches and aiming to double EV and hybrid sales.
