The voting for the first phase of 17th Lok Sabha elections has begun in different parts of the country today. Polling is taking place for a total of 91 seats in 20 states and union territories, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep. The counting of votes will take place on May 23.
