Waist-to-height ratio beats BMI in predicting heart risk: Study

A study published in The Lancet Regional Health Americas finds waist-to-height ratio is a better predictor of heart disease risk than BMI. Researchers studied 2,721 adults for five years and found WHtR consistently identified high-risk individuals, even those with 'normal' BMI. A WHtR above 0.5 signals higher cardiovascular danger.
