Walking 4,000 daily steps once a week cuts risk of early death in older people: Study

A Harvard-led study found that walking at least 4,000 steps on just one or two days a week can lower the risk of early death. Researchers observed a 26% reduction in overall mortality and a 27% drop in cardiovascular deaths. The findings have been published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.
