Walking 7,000 steps daily reduces the risk of 13 different types of cancer by 11%, according to a study conducted by University of Oxford. With 9,000 steps, the risk of getting cancer is reduced by 16%, but researchers saw no increased benefit for extra steps beyond this. The study analysed over 85,000 people over the period of around six years.
