Walking pace predicts death risk: Study

A new study in the Journal of Sports Sciences found that people who walk at a brisk pace have up to a 58% lower risk of early death than slow walkers. Using data from nearly 94,000 UK adults, researchers suggest that self-reported walking speed could be a simple, low-cost tool to help identify long-term health risks.
