The combined fortune of the Walton family, which owns a controlling stake in Walmart, surged $11 billion on Thursday as the retail giant reported strong quarterly results. Walmart heirs Rob, Alice and Jim, saw their fortunes climb by over $3.1 billion each and are among world's top 20 richest people. There are four other billionaire heirs in the Walmart family.
