Waris Punjab De names Indira Gandhi assassin's son as candidate for Punjab polls

The Akali Dal Waris Punjab De announced Satwant Singh, son of Kehar Singh, who was executed in the Indira Gandhi assassination case, as its first candidate for the 2027 Punjab Assembly election. The announcement was made by working president Tarsem Singh, father of MP Amritpal Singh, who said the party was committed to Panthic principles and Punjab's rights.
