Was abducted purely for skin colour: YouTuber YourFellowArab after release in Haiti
YouTuber Addison Pierre Maalouf, aka YourFellowArab, who was kidnapped by a Haitian gang, said he has been released, adding, "I was kidnapped purely for the colour of my skin. I was kidnapped for being a "Blanc"." Maalouf was reportedly taken while interviewing gang leader Jimmy 'Barbecue' Cherizier. A ₹5-crore ransom was demanded for his release.
