"[He said] your name...[is] long and not good...[He] said that the name doesn’t have glamour and sex appeal," she added. Calling the request "rude", Waheeda said she refused to change her name.
Liquidation of Go First ordered

National Company Law Tribunal ordered liquidation of Go First based on an application filed by the low-cost airline's Committee of Creditors. The committee had filed the plea after Delhi High Court ordered DGCA to deregister Go First's airplane fleet on a petition by its lessors. By December 2024, over half of Go First's 54 aircrafts had been returned to lessors.

TikTok is restoring service for over 17 crore users in US after President-elect Donald Trump promised to extend the time period before a law banning the platform takes effect. "It's a strong stand for First Amendment (which protects freedom of speech, among other rights) and against arbitrary censorship," TikTok said. This comes hours after TikTok went dark for US users.

Hamas releases 3 Israeli hostages held captive since October 2023

Hamas has transferred three Israeli hostages who had been held captive since October 2023 to the Red Cross, Israel Defense Forces said. It added that the hostages are being transferred to IDF and ISA forces in Gaza who'll accompany them to Israel. The Gaza ceasefire came into effect after a delay of nearly three hours after Hamas named the hostages.

India sweep first-ever Kho Kho World Cup, win both men's and women's trophies

India registered a clean sweep at the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup 2025, winning trophies in both men's and women's categories. India won the men's category by defeating Nepal 54-36 in the final. Earlier, India won the women's final by beating Nepal 78-40. Both Indian men's and women's teams registered victories in all of their respective matches in the tournament.
