On 50th anniversary of Emergency in India, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar recalled participating in the Jayprakash Narayan Movement which opposed Emergency. Kumar added that he along with his colleagues actively opposed Emergency and were imprisoned for "raising their voices against dictatorship". "However the people of the country demonstrated unity and courage...Together we fought the battle," he said.
