US politician Tulsi Gabbard who was recently added to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's 'transition team' claimed she was placed on secret 'terror watchlist' after criticising Vice-President Kamala Harris. Gabbard, an ex-Democrat, also alleged that she and her husband were subjected to extra scrutiny while boarding flights. Earlier, Gabbard called Harris a "self-serving politician".

Commenting on the terrorist attack on tourists in J&K's Pahalgam, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said time has come to show that India is powerful. "There is pain in our hearts. We are angry. But to destroy evil, strength must be shown," he added. "Hatred and hostility are not in our nature. But neither is silently enduring harm," Bhagwat further said.

A gunfight broke out between security forces and terrorists in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, PTI reported quoting officials. Security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in the Kulnar Bazipora area of Bandipora following information about presence of terrorists in the area, officials added. No casualties have been reported in the incident so far.

The Indian Army retaliated to firing on some Indian posts by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday night, according to multiple reports quoting sources. There were no casualties in the firing incidents, the reports added. This comes after a terrorist attack on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam.

Bharti Airtel has announced that its AI-powered spam detection tool will now screen and alert customers to all SPAM calls and SMSes from international networks. Notably, 'Airtel Warning: SPAM' has flagged over 27.5 billion spam calls since its launch. The new feature comes after scamsters and spammers resorted to exploiting foreign networks to funnel fraudulent calls into India, Airtel said.

The Ministry of External Affairs clarified on Thursday that the government's decision to suspend visa services to Pakistani nationals doesn't apply to Long Term Visas (LTVs) already issued to Hindu Pakistani nationals. India suspended visa services to Pakistan with immediate effect. The government took several steps against Pakistan after 26 people were killed in a terror attack in J&K's Pahalgam.

India suspended 1960 Indus Waters Treaty and closed Attari-Wagah border in response to Pakistan-based LeT's offshoot TRF's terror attack in Pahalgam. India asked defence staff at Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi to return, recalled its defence staff from Indian High Commission in Islamabad and cut staff strengths at both places. It also suspended visa services for all Pakistani nationals.

After an all-party meeting called on the Pahalgam terror attack ended, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said IB and MHA officials informed the parties about the security lapses that caused the attack. "They also told about steps being taken to prevent recurrence," he said. He added that the area where the attack happened is accessible on foot or horseback.
