Director Greta Gerwig said she was "terrified" of helming Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling-starrer 'Barbie', claiming that she was worried the film could be a "career-ender" for her. "It felt like vertigo [when I started writing the film]. Like, where do you even begin? What'd be the story?" Gerwig said. The film is slated to release nationwide in July 2023.
