French economist Esther Duflo, who was among the winners of the 2019 Nobel Prize for Economics, told The Times of India that she wasn't upset with Indian media calling her the wife of Abhijit Banerjee, who also won the award this year. She added that the French press similarly carried the news, wherein Banerjee was referred to as her husband.
