The Watchdog Foundation has accused the Mumbai Airport of violating environmental guidelines by concretising the bases of 50 trees near the airport. The complaint alleges that the concretisation is suffocating the trees and making them prone to falling during the monsoon. The activists have urged the environment department to investigate the matter and take action against those responsible.
