The water level in seven lakes supplying drinking water to Mumbai has crossed the 85% mark, according to BMC. The city now has sufficient water stock for the next 320 days, officials said. "Water level above 85-90% is considered to be safe and hopefully, we should not see any water cuts until next year, for now," a BMC official said.
