Customer sales and engagement tool WATI (WhatsApp Team Inbox) raised $23 million in a Series B round led by Tiger Global Management. Its new investors include DST Global Partners and Shopify. Its existing investors including Sequoia Capital India and Southeast Asia also participated in the funding round. This is Shopify’s first venture investment in a Southeast Asia-based startup.
