Wayanad man gets 25-year jail term for minor assault

Wayanad man Hashik Rahman was sentenced to 25 years in jail by a Kalpetta court for sexually assaulting a minor girl, which led to her pregnancy. The court also imposed a fine of ₹1.10 lakh. Rahman had fled abroad during the investigation before police arrested him at Karipur airport in 2024.
