Waymap app which helps blind people use public transit will now help them use Washington subway system. It'll be deployed in phases with the goal of deploying it at up to 30 Metro train stations by September and across the entire Metro system by early 2023. The app does not use GPS and can operate regardless of cellphone signal strength.
