West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday announced salary hike of ₹10,000 for all interns, house staff, Post-Graduate trainees, and Post-Doctoral trainees. A hike of ₹15,000 has also been announced for senior doctors. Additionally, Post-Doctorate senior doctors, who earlier earned ₹75,000, will now get ₹1 lakh. Mamata also announced ₹2 crore for cultural activities at state-run health facilities.
