The West Bengal Medical Council summoned four doctors from Sharanya Multispeciality Hospital in connection with a medical negligence case that allegedly led to vision loss in two children. The children's parents also appeared before the council and submitted their complaints against the hospital, alleging that missed ROP screenings caused vision loss in their children Mivaan and Adrita.
