Addressing the controversy around Bangladesh's exclusion from T20 World Cup 2026, former Bangladesh skipper and BCB interim committee head Tamim Iqbal said, "We gave away a World Cup without even having a proper dialogue." He criticised previous BCB administration for improper handling of the situation, adding, "ICC was lenient, there was room to find a solution. We should've found it."
