Indian shooter Neeru Dhanda's mother Sudesh Devi revealed she was on her way to collect wheat ration under Below Poverty Line (BPL) scheme when a journalist called to inform her about her daughter's Asian Games 2026 gold medal. "We are poor...we have zero bank balance," she said. Neeru became the first Indian woman to win Asian Games individual trap title.
