China's President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin both hailed their ties during a video call. Xi said, "Bilateral trade cooperation is dynamically and steadily developing and cooperation in the new fields is also developing rapidly." He added, "We held the Chinese year in Russia and Russian year in China and we've brought our cooperation to a new level."
