Director Kayoze Irani spoke about 'Sarzameen' being Ibrahim Ali Khan's debut initially, and why he chose to launch the actor. He recalled when Ibrahim, assistant director for 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', was filing in for Ranveer [Singh] on set. "Karan [Johar] and I both...felt he's got a face for camera. So we decided to launch him," said Kayoze.
