Astronaut Prasanth Nair said India's next unmanned and manned space missions could take place by next year. He added, "Our chairman has been saying [unmanned missions] will happen very soon this year...and after 2 or 3 unmanned missions, we'll have manned missions by 2026 and 2027." He added that the technology being developed for human spaceflights will be "totally indigenous".
