The MEA on Thursday confirmed the arrest of 65-year-old Indian fugitive Mehul Choksi in Belgium, saying, "Based on our extradition request, he was arrested. We are working closely with the Belgium side on his extradition to India...so that he can face trial." Belgian authorities confirmed Choksi’s arrest on April 12 and he is detained for further judicial proceedings.
