Dharmendra confirmed sequel for 2007 film 'Apne' is in works and said, "We've asked Anil to write sequel. He's in the process of writing 'Apne 2'." He further recalled how 'Apne' brought him and his sons closer and said, "Anil Sharma wrote script that did justice to all three characters. I remember we felt like a family on and off-screen."
