Minister of State for IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar told PTI that the government would love to see Intel, TSMC, Samsung, GlobalFoundries, and other semiconductor technology majors invest in India. "It's clear that interest levels in global majors after PM Narendra Modi's announcement of ₹76,000 crore initiative (to boost semiconductor production) is much higher and much more serious today," he added.
