An autonomous weaponised drone may have attacked humans without being told to, as per UN report seen by New Scientist. The Kargu-2 quadcopter, equipped with explosives, was deployed during a conflict between Libyan government forces and a breakaway military faction led by Libyan National Army's Khalifa Haftar. The drone "hunted down" Haftar's forces as they were retreating, the report said.
