The Chandigarh Health Department on Monday issued an advisory asking people to wear face masks in crowded places in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases in some states and Union Territories. It said wearing of face masks is need to be especially ensured in closed environments like public transport. Masks should be used in classrooms and indoor gatherings, it added.
