The Karnataka government has issued a clarification after being criticised over its proposal to increase the maximum daily working hours from nine to 10. "The proposal does not...alter the maximum weekly working hours, which remain capped at 48 hours," NDTV Profit quoted the government as saying. The state government reportedly added that the proposed 10-hour workday includes a one-hour break.
