Weight-loss drugs like Ozempic may help US airlines save $580 million (nearly ₹5,300 crore) in 2026, a Jefferies analysis found. This is because rising use of the drugs is helping people lose weight, making flights lighter and helping airline fly planes with lesser fuel. A 10% weight loss by passengers would save 1.5% in fuel and boost earnings/share by 4%.
