Weight training reduces osteoporosis risk in women: Study

A new study in the Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research finds that resistance training lowers the risk of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. High-intensity workouts performed three times a week for at least 48 weeks significantly improved bone density in the spine, hip, and femur—key areas vulnerable to fractures.
