Western Australia to ban sale of puppies at pet shops

Western Australia is moving to ban sale of puppies at stores and outlaw puppy farms under new laws to be introduced in Parliament. "We want to give families peace of mind, knowing their puppy does not come from poor, inadequate and inhumane conditions," Premier of Western Australia Mark McGowan said. The new laws will allow authorities to identify illegal breeders.
