WeWork's social networking platform designed to connect people in person, Meetup, has been acquired by AlleyCorp and other investors. While AlleyCorp's Founder Kevin Ryan would be joining Meetup's board as the Chairman, David Siegel will stay as Meetup's CEO. Meetup was acquired by WeWork for $156 million in 2017 and it operated for two-and-a-half years as a WeWork subsidiary.
