The government announced a 2% DA (Dearness Allowance) hike for central government employees and pensioners after the Union Cabinet meeting today. Other announcements included the extension of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-III scheme until 2028 and two railway multitracking projects in 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. A ‘Bharat Maritime Insurance Pool’ was also announced.
