Reddit communities, also called subreddits, are locking out users in protest against the company's plan to charge for access to its data. From next month, third-party app developers using Reddit's data will have to pay a price. The Apollo app, which offers an alternate interface to the official Reddit platform, said the exorbitant fees "made it impossible" to continue working.
