What are sundogs?
short by Anmol Sharma / on Saturday, 2 August, 2025
Sundogs are coloured spots of light that develop due to refraction of light through ice crystals. They are located approximately 22° either left, right, or both, from Sun. The colours usually go from red closest to the sun, out to blue on the outside of the sundog. According to a new research, sundogs might also occur on planets light-years away.
