The BF.7 strain of Omicron COVID-19 variant mainly causes upper respiratory infection, according to reports quoting Chinese experts. Fever, sore throat, runny nose and cough are other common symptoms. Some people may get stomach-related symptoms like vomiting and diarrhoea, however, those with weakened immune systems and pre-existing medical issues are more prone to develop serious diseases.
