The Centre signed contracts with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for ₹62,700 crore to procure 157 Light Combat Helicopters (LCH), called Prachand. It is the world's only attack helicopter that can land and take off at 5,000 meters (16,400 feet). It can fire air-to-ground and air-to-air missiles. They have a narrow fuselage, which would allow the pilot and gunner to function seamlessly.
