PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the world's longest twin-lane tunnel 'Sela Tunnel' in Arunachal Pradesh, whose foundation stone was laid in 2019. It's constructed using Austrian Tunnelling Method with tunnel 1 being 980-metre-long while tunnel 2 is 1,555-metre-long. Situated at 13,000 feet altitude, it'll provide all weather connectivity to Tawang across Sela Pass on Balipara-Chariduar-Tawang Road.
