Buying a house involves more than just the down payment and EMIs, Moneycontrol reported. Stamp duty, registration, brokerage, bank charges and paperwork costs also come under the costs of buying a house. There are also charges for parking, clubhouse, society maintenance, common-area charges, water and power backups. Together, these charges add up to one or two extra months of EMIs.
