Among the Indian Navy's most powerful weapons is the 45,000-tonne aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya, which can deploy over 30 aircraft. India's three Kolkata-class destroyers are the first indigenously designed and built modern destroyers, armed with 16 vertically-launched BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles. INS Chakra, India's only nuclear attack submarine, can hunt and neutralise enemy vessels.
