Ahead of Diwali, the Union Cabinet announced a hike in the minimum support price (MSP) of six Rabi crops for the marketing season 2025-26. The Cabinet also approved ₹2,642-crore Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Multi-Tracking Project in Varanasi, which includes construction of a rail and road bridge over the Ganga River. It further approved 3% Dearness Allowance hike for central government employees.
